Marcia Battise Marcia Battise starred as Miriam Maduba in Paul Van Zyl’s (AFI Director) “Elegy-For A Revolutionary”, which premiered at this years Dances With Films-15 festival and stars Michael Enright (Knight and Day), Martin Copping (Forbidden Ground), Tomas Boykin (Junkie) and Steve Humphreys (The Holiday), Nyree in Peter Winther’s (Independence Day) “Dragon Age: Redemption” starring Doug Jones (Hell Boy, Pans Labyrinth) & Felicia Day (The Guild), Adelle in Zach Horton’s (AFI Director) “Swerve” starring Beth Grant, Charles Robinson and John Diehl, Tina in BBC’s “Dangerfield” starring Nigel Havers, Charlie in C5‘s “Family Affairs” starring Idris Elba, Valerie in Granada TV’s “In Defence” starring Ross Kemp.

Marcia also starred as one of the 6 original housemates for “O2’s National & European Mobile Phone Commercial Campaign” as part of the UK’s hit reality TV Show “Big Brother 3” – in association with 4Creative, part of the Channel 4 Network & she also starred as The Punk in Joel Olsen’s “Roofies” Raindance’s Film Festival Trailer.

Marcia is a classically trained actor who studied at the prestigious Mountview Theatre School (aka Mountview Academy) and The Actors Temple (Meisner), Marcia is known to be a bit of a chameleon when portraying roles, often barely recognizable from role to role, yet her charisma remains strong and engaging, especially as Marcia makes good use of her androgynous appearance.
