LarJayne made her acting debut in the play Oklahoma, her Senior year of High School. Unfortunately, small town suburbia couldn’t contain her energy and spirit that drives her, so she split a year later and bounced around between NY and parts of the mid-west. Because her Mom was hell-bent against her pursuing an acting career, she hopped from job – job looking for her niche, trying her best to find something her Mom approved of.
Eventually, she hit the highway for South Florida, and eventually formed and operated two small businesses simultaneously, while working part-time, backstage, at two community theaters.
After 12 years of feeling unfulfilled she later decided that it was time to follow her heart. So she shucked it all and in 2006 she transplanted herself in Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Spite her being a late-comer to the industry, she has boundless energy and drive. She enjoys learning all aspects of the filmmaking process, supporting and working with filmmakers and writers that inspire and encourage her creatively.
Her most recent role was as Officer Gladys in the family feature ‘I Love Your Moves’, a Cinemotion 21st Entertainment Production, which will be released for distribution in late May of 2012.
LarJayne stays active in workshops developing and sharpening her skills, adding to her little bag of acting tricks that she can pull from at any given moment.
She has worked behind the scenes as Casting Assistant, On-set PA, Art Department & Prop Assistant and a Runner. This has given her a greater perspective of what goes on behind the scenes; from the grueling hours and demanding schedules, to the determination and drive of a hardworking crew.
LarJayne is always learning and staying active in acting workshops, attending screenings, and will soon begin acting classes at the Edgemar Acting Studio in Santa Monica, with a goal to perform on-stage at the Edgemar Theatre sometime this year, that will garner her more experience entertaining a live audience. She’s also a new member of We Make Movies, a Writers, Indie Filmmakers and Actors collective in Los Angeles.
