“Leprechauns & Lies”

Chad Kukahiko, the We Make Movies web guy and Creative Director of superfreako productions, has a one-man show! His piece – which he wrote off-and-on over the past twenty plus years and which Chad will perform himself – is called “Leprechauns & Lies“, and it’s extremely limited of just three performances is happening next weekend only (Jan 27 & 28) at the Lifebook Playhouse Theatre in Hollywood. At the time of this posting, one of the three performances has already sold out and the other two appear to be selling quickly. The show runs an hour and fifteen minutes with no intermission. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased on Brown Paper Tickets web site or by calling their 24-hour ticket box office at 1-800-838-3006.

Here’s a brief description of the show:

From DC in ’90 back to Salt Lake City in ’83 to Honolulu in ’87 to Right Here and Right Now, this journey back-and-forth through the mind and times of a Mormon-raised Hawaiian agnostic explores regions of the universe and soul that might make you question your sanity. In this one-man show from and starring writer/director Chad Kukahiko, Chad uses song, story, comedy, music and a whole lot of truth to present his “Being & Nothingness” – twenty years in the making.

The Lifebook Playhouse is at 665 North Heliotrope in Hollywood, California, just south of Melrose.

We suggest if you’re interested in seeing this very limited run that you purchase your tickets right away. The Lifebook Playhouse Theater is not a large space and the tickets for the Saturday 7pm show sold out within the first 24 hours of going on sale.

superfreako productions is hoping to have an official premiere of “Leprechauns & Lies” in New York this fall, but currently has no other plans to perform it on the West Coast.
